Nitobi Launches PhoneGap

Nitobi Launches PhoneGap, Application Developer for Windows Phone Mango,Nitobi and Microsoft have announced the availability of PhoneGap forWindows Phone 7 Mango devices. Nitobi PhoneGap is a cross platform application development framework based on HTML 5, thus giving a new option for software developers to create applications that can run on various mobile platforms including Windows Phone 7 Mango.

Nitobi PhoneGap in the announcement called as a mobile open-source framework that allows developers to create applications in a variety of platforms. PhoneGap using standard web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. In Windows Phone Mango, PhoneGap use HTML5 support that is in IE9.

Besides basic features, some of the API JavaScript has also been provided in PhoneGap to facilitate developers such as to manipulate contacts, connection status (wifi or data), notifications and alerts, recording media (image and audio), cameras, accelerometers, until Geolocation.
