After a long rumored to be released, RIM has finally officially launched theBlackBerry App World 3.0 to the public recently. The hope of course to strengthen his name in the mobile arena and help users to search and find many applications for devices made ??by RIM.
Application categories, application promotion, and the channel is made ??more clear and easier for users. Each game or application get a better preview which info can be shared also through BBM, e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, or even SMS.
This new BlackBerry app store seems to be the answer from RIM to catch of the Apple App Store and Android Market. RIM’s latest service can run on all BlackBerry devices that run at least OS version 4.5 or above. Unfortunately the update is not yet available for BlackBerry tablet Playbook.
BlackBerry App World 3 is also a useful update to the developers, now applications for the RIM-made device has reached the 20,000 applications and counting. Although this number has been successfully superseded by Windows Phone MarketPlace which is younger (about 30,000 current application), the steps taken by RIM seems quite appropriate. In the future it seems only a matter of whether the application of the BlackBerry App World 3.0 can meet the target.
