Apple will launch its own TV with digital TV capabilities out of the box

The software-headed WWDC 2011 from earlier this June left all of us a bit missing some action on hardware field at which Apple as a product company rules the game. Happily however Apple just might be holding out a major product release for this year’s autumn. The product in question is a TV set. The TV set from Apple will include a monitor itself with an inbuilt digital TV tuner box as indicated by an Apple executive who is no longer in charge. Altogether the set up (should we call it iTV?) will run a dedicated version of iOS and therefore compatible apps.

The hardware side will be provided by an existing flat panel manufacturer. It could be Samsung to come up with a TV-grade LCD IPS display. Anyway, with whatever pans out, Apple is up to compete with Google TV and Netflix in digital televisionbusiness.
